StatsCastr Privacy Policy

StatsCastr ("we", "us") is a stats-keeping app for coaches and scorekeepers, available at statscastr.co and as an iPhone app. It is run by Eighty Five Creative, based in Memphis, Tennessee. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account information

• Your email address and name.
• How you sign in: email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple. If you use "Hide My Email" with Apple, we only see the relay address Apple gives us.
• If you sign up with a password, we store only a secure hash of it, never the password itself.
• Your profile photo, if your Google account provides one.

Content you enter

• Teams, team colors and logos you upload, rosters (player names, jersey numbers and positions), leagues, seasons, game schedules and locations, and the stats you record.
• Rosters often include the names of players who are minors. Only add information you are allowed to share, for example with permission from your school, club or the players' parents or guardians.

Information we don't collect

• We don't use advertising or tracking, and we don't sell or share your information for advertising.
• We don't collect your location.
• We don't use analytics that follow you across other apps or websites.

Technical information

• Our servers keep basic logs (such as the time of a request and whether it succeeded) to keep the service running and secure. Logs are deleted after 30 days.

How we use it

• To run StatsCastr: sign you in, store your teams and games, and calculate box scores, standings and season stats.
• To send account emails you ask for, such as a password reset.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

Who can see your information

• You. Your teams, rosters, leagues and games are private to your account.
• Anyone you share a game link with. When you share a game, anyone with the link (statscastr.co/g/…) can see that game's teams, score, player stats and box score without signing in.
• ScoreCastr, if you link a game. When you link a game to a ScoreCastr broadcast, we send that game's teams, roster names and numbers, and stats to ScoreCastr so they can appear in the broadcast graphics. Nothing is sent until you link, and you can unlink at any time. ScoreCastr is run by Eighty Five Creative too; its privacy policy is at https://app.scorecastr.co/privacy.
• Service providers that host and run StatsCastr for us, only as needed to provide it:
  • Render (app hosting)
  • Neon (database and file storage for logos)
  • Google Firebase (sign-in with Google and Apple)
  • Resend (account emails, such as password resets)
• When the law requires it, for example a valid court order.

Keeping and deleting your information

• We keep your information while your account is open.
• Delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account, or by emailing info@eightyfivecreative.com. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, teams, rosters, leagues, seasons, games, stats and uploaded logos, signs you out on every device, and stops any shared game links from working. It cannot be undone.
• Backups of our database may keep deleted data for up to 30 days before it is gone for good.

Children

StatsCastr is meant for coaches, scorekeepers and other adults managing teams. It is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at info@eightyfivecreative.com and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your information. You can edit your name and email, and delete your account, in the app. For anything else, email info@eightyfivecreative.com.

Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
