Every game's box score can be downloaded as a PDF to print or send, or as a CSV file to open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. It's the easiest way to hand stats to a newspaper, an athletic director or a league office, and to keep your own copy.

Short version

Open the game from Games and tap Export PDF or Export CSV at the top. Fans can do the same with PDF and CSV on the fan page.

Download from the game page

  1. Tap Games, then open the game (View on a final game's card, or tap the game). After End Game, the game's Box score page opens on its own.
  2. At the top, tap Export PDF or Export CSV.
  3. The file downloads straight away. On a phone, look in your Downloads or Files app; on a computer, in your downloads folder.

The buttons work for live games too, so you can grab a halftime box score. If they're greyed out, the game's stats are still loading; wait a moment.

File names

Files are named after the teams and date: away team, "vs", home team, then the game date, with spaces turned into hyphens. For example: North-vs-East-2026-10-17.pdf. A game with no date uses the day it was created.

What's in each file

PDFCSV
Title and game details"BASKETBALL BOX SCORE" (or your sport), teams, scoreAway Team, Home Team, Date, Location, Status, Ruleset, Final Score
Score by periodYes"SCORE BY QUARTER" (or set, half, inning and so on), with a Final column
Team stats"TEAM STATS""TEAM STATS", one row per stat, away then home
Player statsThe sport's player groupsThe sport's player groups
Play-by-play"PLAY-BY-PLAY""PLAY-BY-PLAY" with Period, Clock, Team, Event and Detail

A few notes on the CSV:

  • Status is the game's status as stored: "final", or "in_progress" for a live game.
  • Final Score is the score at the moment you downloaded it, even mid-game.
  • The CSV is built from sections stacked in one sheet, so it's for reading and copying, not for sorting as a single table.

Download from the fan page

Fans can download the same box score:

  1. Open the fan link (statscastr.co/g/ and the game's number).
  2. Tap PDF or CSV at the top. The button reads Preparing… while it builds the file.

The page refreshes every 15 seconds. During a refresh the buttons read Refreshing… and can't be tapped; wait a second and try again. If the file can't be built, you'll see "The download could not be created. Please try again."

See What fans see on the game page.

After a correction

A download is a snapshot. If you fix a play after downloading, download the box score again to get the corrected numbers. See Edit or delete any play.

Season totals

Each file covers one game. For a team's numbers across a season, see Export a team's season stats.

Checklist

  • Game ended with End Game before downloading the final box score
  • PDF downloaded for printing or sending
  • CSV downloaded for spreadsheets or league reports
  • Downloaded again after any correction
