Run more than one league

Add a league for each sport you cover, and switch between them with the active league.

If you cover more than one sport, say basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring, give each sport its own league. One league is "active" at a time, and that choice decides what several pages show, so it's worth knowing how it works.

Short version

On League, tap + Add league and create the new one. Then switch to it with the Active league list in the League card. Switch the active league before scheduling a season game in that sport.

One league per sport

You can have one league for each sport. A second league for a sport you already have won't be created. To cover two groups in the same sport (for example varsity and JV), use one league with a season for each, such as "Varsity 2026" and "JV 2026".

Add another league

  1. Tap League in the header.
  2. Tap + Add league at the top of the page. The Add league form opens.
  3. Enter the League name, choose the Sport and its ruleset, and tap Create league. See Create a league.

You go back to the league you were on. The new league isn't selected yet: switch to it next.

If nothing happens when you tap Create league, you already have a league for that sport.

Switch the active league

Once you have two or more leagues, the League card has an Active league list. Each league shows as its name and sport, for example "Metro League · basketball".

  1. Tap League in the header.
  2. In the League card, open Active league and pick the league.

The page switches to that league's seasons, teams and settings.

What the active league changes

PageWhat it uses the active league for
LeagueThe league, seasons and teams you're managing
DashboardThe Standings card
+ New GameThe sport the form starts on, and the seasons offered under Counts toward
Team pagesThe Season list, standings record and season stats

The season page itself works for any league: links to it (such as Standings →) always open the right season.

The active league is remembered in this browser only. On another phone or computer, StatsCastr starts on your first league until you pick again there.

Schedule a game in the other league

Counts toward only appears on the New game form when the sport you pick matches the active league. If it doesn't match, the game is created as a scrimmage.

  1. Switch the Active league to the sport's league.
  2. Tap Games, then + New Game. The form starts on that league's sport.
  3. Choose the season under Counts toward, pick the teams and tap Create game.

Created a game as a scrimmage by mistake? A game's season can't be changed after it's created. If it hasn't started, delete it and create it again. See Schedule a game.

Team pages

A team's page lists seasons from the active league. If a baseball team's page shows no seasons, or says Select a season to see player stats., switch the active league to your baseball league and open the team again. See Your team page.

Deleting a league

There's no way to delete a league on the website yet. You can:

  • Rename it in the League card to reuse it for a new group.
  • Add a new season and set old ones to Completed.
  • Email info@eightyfivecreative.com from the address on your account with the league's name, and we'll help.

Checklist

  • One league for each sport you cover
  • Varsity, JV and similar groups set up as seasons, not extra leagues
  • Active league switched before scheduling a season game
  • Active league picked again on each new phone or computer
