Change a game's date, time or location

Move a scheduled game to a new date or time, or change where it's played, before it starts.

Rainouts, gym swaps and moved start times happen. Until a game starts, you can change its date, time and location as often as you need. Once it starts, the schedule is locked.

Short version

On Games, tap Edit on the game's card (or Edit Schedule on the game's page). Change the Game date or Location and tap Save changes.

Reschedule a game

  1. Tap Games in the header. Tap Scheduled to see only upcoming games.
  2. On the game's card, tap Edit. Or open the game and tap Edit Schedule in the score panel.
  3. The Edit scheduled game page opens: "Update the date, time, or location before the game starts."
  4. Change the Game date (date and time), the Location, or both.
  5. Tap Save changes.

The game's page opens with the new details. The dashboard's Up next card and the Games list update too.

To make a game's date "to be decided", clear the Game date field and save. The game shows TBD on the dashboard until you set a date again.

What you can't change

The Sport, Away team, Home team, ruleset and Counts toward fields are greyed out on the edit page. They're fixed once the game is created.

If one of them is wrong:

  1. Check the game hasn't started and has no stats you want to keep.
  2. Delete it from the Games list. See Delete a game.
  3. Create it again with the right details. See Schedule a game.

Home and away swapped? The same applies: there's no swap button, so delete the game and create it again.

"This game can no longer be rescheduled"

You'll see this if you open the edit page for a game that is live or final:

"This game can no longer be rescheduled. Once a game has started, its schedule is locked. Open the game to review or score it."

Tap Open game to go to the game. There's no way to change the date or location after the start, and no way to put a game back to scheduled. If you tapped Start Game too early, just score it when the game actually begins; the date shown is the scheduled date you set.

"Game unavailable"

"This game may have started, been removed, or you may not have access to it."

The game was deleted, or the link is for a game in another account. Tap Back to games and find it in your list. See Find a game.

The Save changes button is greyed out

The edit page still checks that the game's teams are available. If one of the teams has since been removed from the game's season, a note asks you to add teams to the season and Save changes stays grey. Add the team back to the season on League, then save.

Checklist

  • Game is still Scheduled, not live or final
  • New date and time entered in Game date
  • Location updated if the venue moved
  • Save changes tapped and the new details showing on the game page
  • Wrong teams or season fixed by deleting and recreating, not editing
